-What music is on your iPhone/iPod right now?
To be honest, most of the stuff on my phone is pretty old. Old favorites like Paramore, Zed music, Cold Play, etc. I should explore and find some more music, haha.
-What's the last song that really moved you?
The Greatest Showman soundtrack.
-Who is a musician that has a knack you really admire? What is that trait?
I’d say Pink. She’s very much “herself.” When she performs she feels very true to herself and very much a strong, independent woman. One of the best live performers I’ve ever seen.
-Do you prefer listening to music digitally? On a CD? On vinyl?
I would say I prefer listening to music digitally simply because it’s so convenient and I can easily carry it anywhere on my phone or transfer it from my phone to computer etc.
-Which person that you know had the biggest impact on your music habits/love of music?
My parents tie, haha; they were both avid appreciators of great music and were “on it” as soon as any of us kids expressed any interest. It was my mother’s desire for us to be able to pursue our dreams because she never felt like she was given the opportunity to do that as a child, so she decided she was going to do things differently. I’d say that’s made all the difference.
-What's an album people might not think you love, but you love? What's an album people think you would love, that you don't love?
I love Michael Buble or Melanie Martinez. I don’t love Pentatonix.
-Who's a musician you're an evangelist for?
-Who are three musicians, dead or alive, would you love to have over for dinner?
Michael Jackson, Ellie Goulding, Avril Lavine
-What are some albums you would love to recommend to our readers?
Zara Larsson and Clean Bandit
-What's next for you?
This year was pretty full…touring, Dancing With The Stars, Christmas album. Now that that’s all done, I’m planning a few new music videos from my “Brave Enough Album,” and I’m considering working with a violin teacher to create a “Lindsey Stirling” violin method.
